Winter dance info! If you plan to bring a non-YHS student to the dance you must submit a guest contract to the Principals office. Contracts are available in the Activities office. Tickets are $5 with your ASB Gold Card and $7 without.

Seniors:
Your last chance to order your cap and gown for graduation is on Wednesday! Cost $45 plus tax. If you do not order them now, you will have to pay $60 at the end of the year.

CAHSEE testing: Free tutoring is available to students. English tutoring is in room L-2 with Ms. McKibban and Math tutoring is in room Q-102 with Ms. Williams from 3:00pm to 4:00pm through Thursday and on Monday through Thursday next week.

AP students:  You may register for your AP test in the Activities Office. There is a non-refundable fee of $95 per test. Payments may be in cash, money order or by check. Payment may also be made by credit card, thru the web store at www.yucaipahigh.com If you are applying for financial aid, please complete the green Eligibility Verification form and turn it in to Ms. Nisly at the front office.

The YHS Theatre department presents the Winter Evening of Scenes, featuring the hilarious short comedy “Check Please”. Come join us on February 2nd or 3rd at 6:30pm in the MPR. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Peer Tutoring available today after school in the Library. Come join us and get some help for those tough classes!

Student Drivers: If you drive to YHS and park your vehicle on campus, you must register your vehicle with Mrs. Grisafe in the Attendance Office. Vehicles must be registered each school year. To register your vehicle, stop by the attendance office and pick up a Driving/Parking Registration form, complete the form and return it to Mrs. Grisafe to receive a valid parking permit. If you want to park in the A or B lots, you may purchase a space from the activities office. Register your car today!

Environmental Club: If you want to help the wildlife on our planet, please come join us on Wednesday during “B” lunch in room E-3. New members are always welcomed. The topic will be on our recycling project.

FCA: The Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets Wednesday. “A” lunch meets in room Q-105 and “B” lunch in room Q-102. Be there and become a leader!

French Club will be meeting Wednesday in room O-7 after school. You don’t want to miss this one!

Best Buddies will meet on Thursday during lunch in room I-101.

Block Y: The club Yearbook picture will be taken on Tuesday, January 31st, at 12:00pm. You must be wearing your shirt to be a part of the picture. You can still order a shirt by paying $12 in Activities.

Are you interested in learning a skill that could one day make you an invaluable employee? Join the American Sign Language Club on Tuesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. in A-3.

Students: Mark your calendar! The National College Fair is coming once again to the Ontario Convention Center on April 24 and 25. Representatives from over 150 colleges will be on hand to answer questions. Admission is free but parking is $8.00 so carpooling is advisable. Stop by Counseling for further details.

All Track athletes: There will be a mandatory meeting for Track and Field on Thursday at 3:00pm in room O-5.

Congratulations to the Wrestling team for placing 6th as a team at the San Bernardino County Championships. Individual placers were: 2nd Place: Donnie Harry (120lbs). 4thplace: Parker Dorrough (152lbs), Ryan Nelson (220lbs). 5th place: Doug McCartney (120 lbs), Scott Austin (138lbs), Eric Beckham (182lbs). Consolation Champions: Zach Russo (132lbs). Anthony Nguyen (145lbs).

Congratulations to JV and Varsity cheer on a successful regional season. JV has taken home 2nd and 3rd place at their two competitions and have earned a bid to compete at nationals. Varsity has won 1st place at both competitions as well as a bid to nationals. Great job to all our cheerleaders! We are proud of you!
