Tommy and Tammy T-Bird are looking for our 2013/2014 Mascots!!! Any Sophomore or Junior who likes to show off their Yucaipa spirit may join!! Come to our information meeting today in Q-203 for both “A” and “B” lunch!
Student Council Applications for next school year are available in the Activities office and are due tomorrow by 3:00pm.
Yearbook Distribution will take place after school, for Seniors, on May 28th in the MPR. Bring ID card or yearbook receipt. You (or your parent) must be present to get your book. No yearbooks will be passed out to students with unpaid school fees. Pay your school fee beforehand.
Prom: Those of you who had items confiscated by security at Prom, come to the office to pick them up. Do not come during class time.
Free After School Tutoring is available today and tomorrow in the Counseling office after school.
Important update regarding today's and tomorrows Crafton Hills College Orientation. We will begin both days at 4:00 pm, not at 3:00pm as usual. So remember: Crafton Hills Orientation today and tomorrow at 4:00pm, in the Library. See you there!

Be sure to check out the new option to have weekly progress summaries emailed to you (under "OPTIONS" and then "Parent Notification Preferences"). These progress summaries display great on smartphones as well as on computers, and students can sign up for them, too. You can select for the email to come on any day/time that you wish. Note new address: https://abi.ycjusd.k12.ca.us/portalaccess

Free Academic Peer Tutoring: We meet in the Library until 3:45 pm., and no appointment is ever needed.
Just a reminder about our morning tardy policy: Any student who is late will need to have a note or phone call from parent or guardian when they arrive or will be sent to lockout. All students are only allowed 3 tardies per semester.
Students who are having trouble accessing their ABI should see Jessica Smith in the main office during lunch or after school to pick up your ABI log in information.
If you are a new student that enrolled after Friday, August 17th, (or not able to log on to school computers) please see Mr. Slider in room M-205 to create your access to school computers, during lunch, before and after school. PLEASE DO NOT ask to leave class to set up your access.

Club News
Attention “B” lunch GSA Members: There will be a meeting of the Gay-Straight Alliance during “B” lunch today in room E-6. “A” lunch will meet next Friday. Co-ed Volleyball Club meets today during both lunches on the grass volleyball court. FIDM: Come and search upcoming spring and summer trends with us! Room I-209 during “A” lunch today. Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets today during lunch. “A” lunch in room Q-209 and “B” lunch in L-2. All Theatre Students who are participating in the May 31st Play-Works/Senior show need to come to G-105 to pick up grade forms and instructions for the show. If you do not come by, you will not be considered for the final cast!! Don't forget. All Best Buddies Members: There will be a mandatory meeting tomorrow at both lunches in room I-101 to discuss the Knott’s trip. So if you are a part of the group this going, bring your signed permission slip and $15 to the meeting. Key Club: Come join us for our weekly meeting tomorrow after school in room Q-203. The YHS Mountain Bike Team has plenty of 2013 T-Shirts to sell. Support the 2013 Southern California League Champions by purchasing a t-shirt for $10. Come by Coach Bagg's hallway to pick one up! Anime Club meets everyday in room O-12 during lunch. Come by and hangout, draw and watch anime. Club advisors and officers: Want more exposure for your club? All Cross Country Runners: There will be a mandatory meeting after school on Thursday in Coach Carney’s room, P-6. Girls Golf starts in August!! Important informational meeting to be held on Thursday from 3:00pm to 3:30pm in room Q-204. All are welcome to join the fun! Congratulations to the YHS Mountain Bike Team who finished league season as the 2013 SoCal 1st place League Champions. We are very excited the team also took 1st in overall Boys Team, 3rd in overall girls Team, & took 2nd in last week's race. Faculty News
AP Biology Staff Barbecue will be Thursday in the MPR Staff Lounge during both lunches. Buy your ticket from any AP Biology student. We will be serving barbecued fish, salads, dessert, and a drink for only $5. Fresh sushi will also be available. Funds will be used to finance our educational field trip to Sea World. M204 & M205 computer lab schedules online! If you want to book the M204 or M205 computer lab for your class, you can view the lab schedules online here at SF. If you want to book some time, please send Tom Slider an email with the room, date(s), and period(s) of your selected times. All requests will be processed on a first come, first served basis. |
