touch to the Q Building Friday. A special T-Bird thank you goes
out to Charlie Rabico for his generous donation to the project.

Chemical Composition of Bones at YHS

HBS chemistry students (Jeremy Browning, Dillon Ramirez, Leah
Vasquez, and Jennifer Uribe) in Mr. Piercy’s classes investigated
the chemical composition of bones (minerals, H2O, and proteins)
as a “faint” aroma of baked chicken filled the rooms and hallways
of the M building.  Ah, the “sights” and “smells” of science in action!
(really?....ed.)

Dr. Thomazin at YHS

Dr. Glen Thomazin spoke to the Health and Biomedical Sciences
Academy Monday. If ever there was a Hall of Fame T-Bird, it
would have to be Dr. Thomazin. An outstanding student while here
at YHS, a competitive athlete, successful college student, a science
teacher at YHS and now a doctor, Glen Thomazin truly is a
Thunderbird.
The Annual Career Fair at YHS

YHS juniors and seniors were invited to the annual Career Fair
Thursday. Dozens of representatives of trade schools, colleges,
local agencies and the armed forces were in attendance.
