Leadership at YHS

Congratulations to Dylan Robinson for being selected to attend
the California Youth Leadership Forum at California State
University at Sacramento this summer. The purpose of this forum
is to train future leaders to be advocates and role models in their
communities, their nation and around the world.

SENIORS!! There is a new fee list posted in the Activities office. If you have a fee of any kind you will not be permitted to get your Yearbook or pick up your diploma after graduation.

Seniors: There are still baby pictures that need to be picked up. And if you have not picked up your graduation announcements you need to come to Activities to get them.

Coming soon! The last YHS Theatre production of the year will be Wednesday, May 23rd, at 6:30pm in the MPR. Tickets are $5 at the door. Come enjoy bands, comedies and fun.


Senior Speaker Try-outs will be held Tuesday, May 22nd at 3:00pm in room P-2. If you are interested in trying out for Senior Speaker at Graduation, sign up with Mr. Eichman in P-2 today.

Attention Students and Parents: The Activities office can no longer accept checks. All transactions must be in cash, cashiers check or money order.

Time is running out to pick up your graduation announcements. Come to the Activities office to get them. If you have a balance due you must bring cash or money order.

Seniors: There is still time to sign up and pay for Grad Night. $75 with your ASB Gold Card and $85 with out. Get your permission slip in the Activities office.

Grad Night permission slips are available in the Activities office. If you are going to Grad Night you MUST complete this paperwork to be assigned a bus.

Classified Employee of the Year Congratulations to Lead Security Monitor Jimmy Nieto for being named the 2012 Classified School Employee of the Year by the San Bernardino County Board of Education. Jimmy is a true Thunderbird and richly deserves this honor.

M204 & M205 computer lab schedules online! If you want to book the M204 or M205 computer lab for your class, you can view the lab schedules online here at SF. GIRL'S GOLF: Important informational meeting for all girls interested in playing on the high school golf team next fall. No experience necessary! Meeting is Wednesday, May 23, 3:00pm to 3:30pm in room Q-204.

Boys Soccer: A four day training camp will be held May 29-June 1. Meet after school on the JV soccer field. Open to all players looking at trying out next year.

YHS Softball tryouts for the 2012-2013 season will be on Saturday, August 18th at 10:00am on the YHS varsity softball field. Bring your bat, glove, cleats and a winning attitude!!!! See coach Kivett to sign-up and get information sheet.

Congratulations: Kodi Lavrusky, arguably the finest athlete in YHS history, won the 2012 Ken Hubbs award. This honor is given to the finest athlete in the Inland Empire. Read about it in the Press Enterprise.


CONGRATULATIONS
: Gerry Blackmon and Tori Dutchover qualified for CIF Division 1 track finals with their performances Saturday at pre-lims.

Congratulations: The freshman boys baseball team defeated the YHS junior varsity 9-5.

New School Record: Congratulations to the Boys 4x100 meter relay team for breaking the 19 year old school record at the Inland Empire Championships. The team, running 43.51 seconds, led YHS to the San Bernardino County team championship.
